Coco Gauff signs global ambassador deal with Mercedes-Benz

The premium carmaker has entered into a sponsorship agreement with 21-year-old American tennis star Coco Gauff, who is already a two-time Grand Slam singles champion and finished the season ranked No. 3 in the WTA standings.

Christina Schenck, Vice President of Digital Technologies, Communications and Investor Relations at Mercedes-Benz AG, described Gauff as an exceptional athlete – “focused, resilient, and unafraid to lead.”

Gauff noted that for her, “tennis has always been more than just winning.”

“It’s about growth, passion and determination. That’s why this partnership with Mercedes-Benz feels so special – we share the same drive and belief in pushing boundaries,” she added.

In 2025, Gauff also became the world’s highest-paid female athlete, earning an estimated $31 million according to Sportico, further solidifying her status as a key figure in global sports marketing.

Mercedes-Benz, meanwhile, has a long heritage in tennis. The brand has previously partnered with Swiss legend Roger Federer as well as American Grand Slam champion and former world No. 3 Sloane Stephens.
