Not just for the elite: ATP makes tennis analytics available to the whole tour

Tennis IQ opens access to advanced stats and video analysis for around 2,000 ATP and Challenger singles players.

The new version of Tennis IQ – a platform for match statistics and video analysis, powered by the ATP and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) – is now available to all singles players on the ATP Tour and Challenger Tour. This gives around 2,000 athletes access to advanced tools and data in one place. Launched in 2023 and developed with Tennis Data Innovations (TDI) and TennisViz, the platform has now been significantly expanded.

The update introduces enhanced video scouting, integration with wearable devices and a more intuitive interface. Importantly, data and video are now available in real time, allowing players and coaches to react faster and adjust tactics during tournaments.

For players, this is a step toward leveling the playing field: younger players and Challenger competitors can now study opponents and refine strategies with resources that were once mostly reserved for the top of the game.

For the industry, the launch highlights tennis’s accelerating shift toward data-driven decision-making. Wearable integration points to new opportunities for tech companies, while the PIF partnership signals a move beyond traditional sponsorship into long-term investment in the sport’s digital infrastructure.

Tennis is becoming increasingly data-driven. The question is how quickly players will integrate these tools into daily preparation – and whether that will change dynamics on court.
