Tea Kovacevic from Bosnia and Herzegovina wins Tennis Europe Junior Masters U16

The 15-year-old claimed this prestigious trophy in her age group for the second year in a row, the first time this has ever happened in the history of the European junior tour.
According to Tennis Europe, Kovacevic was in excellent form throughout the tournament in Monte Carlo, dropping just eight games across three matches in the round-robin stage.
In the final against Romania’s Maria Valentina Pop, she put together a run of eight straight games while facing strong resistance from her opponent, especially in the opening set. In the second, she cut down on errors and allowed Pop only one more game to complete a 6-3, 6-1 victory.
Kovacevic began playing tennis at the age of two under the guidance of her father and coach, Marko Kovacevic. A right-hander with a two-handed backhand, she prefers fast clay courts. In 2024 she stepped into the professional tour at ITF W15 level, and in October 2025 she made her first WTA 125 appearance, competing in Mallorca.
